This is what I'm thinking of getting. What do you have, and what do you think of it? I'm deciding between a kitchen aid and a cuisinart. Canadian Tire has this one on sale this week for $350. Suggestions?
I would say definitely Kitchen Aid over Cuisinart. I have a Kitchen Aid and it's really nice. I'm wishing for a Bosch now though, lol. I like to bake bread, and the Kitchen Aid can only handle enough dough for 2 loaves at a time. The Bosch has a much stronger motor and can do enough dough for 6 loaves at a time. More costly for sure, but I think, for me, it would be worth it.
So for this particular appliance, I would say Kitchen Aid. I've had it for 10 years, and love it! The reason I chose it is because my friend's mom said hers was 20 years old, and was still going strong. I know she was telling the truth, because it was avocado green (bleh! - LOL!). Cuisinart is a good brand too. We have a food processor and a coffeemaker by that company.
I would check out the warranty, if you buy at the bigger box stores when their returns date is past you can't return to them even for a warranty issue. Which means you have to deal direct with the company and that can be a bit of a hassle, I just did that with a coffeemaker, so I'm still a little bitter about that! ;) Happy shopping!!

Kitchen Aid! I love mine! Just don't buy it in black! Shows all the flour dust. I got mine as a wedding gift and use it often.

I have a red Kitchen Aid and I love it!
I have a kitchenaid but it's a 4.5 quart, and if I would do it again I would make sure it's atleast a 5qt as it's not big enough for my bread recipes.
I'm biased since I have the Cuisnart. It has a bigger mixing bowl than the KitchedAid and so far has mixed everything I've tried nice and quick!
